Fix Network Printer Error 0x0000011b

Windows can't connect to your network printer and throws "Operation could not be completed (error 0x0000011b)". This started happening after Microsoft's PrintNightmare security patches tightened RPC authentication.

The Fix

Run this on the print server (the machine sharing the printer), not the client:

reg add "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print" /v RpcAuthnLevelPrivacyEnabled /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f
net stop spooler && net start spooler

If you're in a domain environment, apply this to all machines or push it via GPO.

Verify

Try connecting to the shared printer again from the client PC:

Add-Printer -ConnectionName "\\PRINTSERVER\PrinterName"

The printer should now connect without the 0x0000011b error.
